Over the next ten days Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature will be chock-full of diverse poets and lively poetry events to entice all sorts of poetry listeners, performers, readers and writers. Nottingham Poetry Festival starts tonight (Friday 21st April) with three events (Henry Normal’s Poetry Hour, Quiet Riot Collected and Mouthy Poets Get Moving). I’m really looking forward to the programme and to reading in the WriteLion Poets event at Rough Trade (Monday 24th April 7-9pm) along with Becky Cullen, Panya Banjoko, Di Slaney, Bridie Squires, Rory Waterman. Time to get your poetry calendar in motion!
