Melbourne Virtual Writer-in-Residence

I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as a virtual writer-in-residence for Melbourne, Australia in November 2021. During this month I will be creating a series of Found Works, using the fantastic collections in the State Library of Victoria. I’ll be writing a new sequence of poems, engaging with members of the public in an online poetry writing workshop and developing resources to inspire young people to use objects in the Library as inspiration for their own poetry writing.

Thanks to Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to getting started this week and to making new links between Melbourne and Nottingham and with other writers around the world Photo: Graham Lester George

  1. Now that really is good news. They are in for a treat. It sounds like an excellent venture and couldn’t have come at a better time. Your dad would have been so proud of you.
